Anime Filler List

My Hero Academia Filler List (Updated 2021)

I’ve been reading My Hero Academia for a while now and I’m up to date with the manga. But then, there’s the anime. The show is great, but it includes filler episodes that are not found in the manga. I was so confused by how many fillers there were–until I made this list! Now you can watch all of your favorite characters kick butt without getting lost in any filler episodes!

My Hero Academia is an ongoing anime by Studio Bones. My Hero Academia follows Izuku Midoriya, a young boy born without superpowers in a world where eighty percent of the population has superhuman abilities known as quirks. He still dreams and strives to become a superhero like the legendary All-Might despite not having any sort of superpower. He is scouted by the world’s greatest hero All Might who takes him on as his student/sidekick allowing him to enter U.A High School (U.A) which cultivates and encourages students to develop their own unique quirkiness and reach out to society by becoming full fledged superheroes upon graduating.

As he enters this school with extremely high expectations, he finds that it is not as easy as he thought it would be. The entrance exam is beyond difficult and the students are all extremely capable of taking care of themselves but All Might remarks that Izuku has tremendous hidden potential. As such, he encourages him to keep working hard if he wants to reach his goal despite how hopelessly outmatched and weak Izuku currently is in comparison to the other students.

The first season starts off with a high school student named Katsuki Bakugo being scouted by All Might at U.A’s Entrance Exam after exhibiting an especially powerful quirk and showing off just how strong and tough he really is. He quickly becomes one of the top contenders vying for first place which also means that everyone else strives to get better so that they can be the ones to come in first and live up to their fullest potential.

The fighting styles of all the students are varied and unique, allowing for a lot of creativity when it comes to developing the quirkiness especially with Iida, who controls electromagnetism with his right hand at superhuman speeds. He is extremely powerful even if he inhabits an unimpressive body frame. The series also has a bit of romance which doesn’t affect Iida’s drive as much as others such as Ochako Uraraka. Though she is not very strong at this point yet, her effortless cheerfulness greatly complements Izuku’s personality well and allows him to grow close to her during their time at the U.A high school.

In terms of story, the series is also quite unique with an anime original arc featuring villains which could be said to be stronger than All Might and some developments that allow for a very interesting story between Izuku and Katsuki who were previously antagonistic towards each other. However, as the season continues on both their relationship with each other and the villain attacks gets more complex forcing them to step up in order to save people from harm.

However, even though this show has its action packed moments it also boasts many comedic scenes where most of these occur at Izuku’s expense such as when he first meets his classmates or when he tries to do certain things for the first time in front of his friends like dressing casually or something else whether its going out for the first time or attempting to ask his crush to a dance.

The animation is quite nice with bright colors that makes it pop as well as very fluid animation though some cuts do stand out a bit. The soundtrack is also pretty good with both opening and ending having nice vibes which are performed by Miyake Kenta and amazarashi respectively.

Overall, I would recommend this anime/manga to anyone of any age group whether you like action, comedy, romance or slice of life because My Hero Academia has aspects of all these genres making it quite unique in itself.
